You may have noticed that we posted in our stories asking for questions we could share with our incredible education director, Christyn Nawrot. And you all definitely delivered!

Christyn has more than three decades as a professional hairdresser and color specialist, which means she has seen it all! And here’s a fun fact – throughout those three decades she has used our brands and has become one of our greatest haircare champions. It’s not just passion that fuels her hair prowess. Christyn has quite the pedigree to back it up. She is internationally trained, having studied both color and styling in Paris, London, Milan and all over Canada.

She is a true believer in PHYTO’s message and vision and is committed to continued education for herself and our organization. Christyn is an absolute PHYTO powerhouse, spreading the message of our founder, Mr. Patrick Alès and his brand portfolio to every state in the US, including Puerto Rico. She does the same for the US Virgin Islands, Central America & South America and acts as our feet on the street whenever possible. She’s also pretty darn great in front of the camera and handles a lot of press for PHYTO.

Q: "Why is it so important to protect the hair from heat? Which PHYTO products can I use to protect my hair?"

A: The hair can easily be styled with heat tools but have a care: using heat can damage your hair if you are not careful. When using blow dryers and irons, be sure to ALWAYS use a heat/thermal protector. Your natural keratin in your hair is strong but it will become vulnerable if it is heated higher than 320 degrees. Most tools in our beauty market heat well above this.
